Today we are living in a world which is complex, ever changing and so fast paced that at the end of each year you wonder how the time just flew.

Life is busy and there are way too many things to do and there isn’t enough time. We are bound in the chains of our ever busy lifestyle. There never seems to be enough time. For every individual life is a race and we are just running trying to reach our goals and fulfilling our ambitions.

In the midst of all this how many us take the time to be thankful for what we have and how fortunate we are to be able to see the sunshine every morning. Do we ever feel grateful for all the wonderful things life has to been offering us.

Yes, thats right, I am talking about gratitude.

Gratitude helps in shifting our focus from we what we lack in our life to all of the things that we have in our lives. It helps us appreciate and value our life even more. We realize that all the good in our life should not be taken for granted.

Well, everyone is this world is not born with as fortunate circumstances and as privileged as you are. So isn’t it something to be grateful about. Being thankful never belittles anyone and infact is it one of the most humbling things in life.

Life is not just about achieving bigger things, it is about finding joy in the smaller and simpler things of life. This makes us realize that life as we live today is a blessing in disguise and not every person is as blessed.

So if you are ever going through a difficult time and feel dejected, think of everything that you have and what your life would be if you were deprived of them. Think of all the people who are not as lucky as you are; chances are you will always be better off than someone else.

Studies have shown that individuals who exhibit and express the most gratitude are happier, healthier, and more energetic. Also showing gratitude to others help in building and strengthening relationships.

Gratitude is something which will never harm you or anyone. Even when the times are difficult, showing gratitude only deepens your faith, strengthens your trust and keeps you going.

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. – Melody Beattie

  1. Good Job Kriti! This is much needed in today’s cut throat competitive world! At the end of the day, no body will remember how many deals you cracked, how many power point presentations you gave or how much sales you generated. People will only remember how you made them feel! and By definition, gratitude requires humility. It requires us to admit we have been the recipient of something we did not deserve. And it calls us to admit there are no entirely self-made men or women.! Keep your thoughts coming IN!

    1. Thanks Varun. You are absolutely right when you say that people wont remember your achievements, they will remember how you treated them. But in today’s world humility is something that doesn’t some easily. We can just hope that people realize what is it to be a good human being before everything else.
